The Blacktown Workers Club released this book to celebrate sixty years – their diamond jubilee. The club’s history is pretty remarkable: what at first glance appears to be a mere sports club and recreation venue, is revealed in these pages to be a centre of connection, family values and deep community roots.

It was our task – and our enormous pleasure – to scratch beneath the surface of the Blacktown Workers Club and showcase what was beneath – a community of people who really care about each other.
